The Onion
I have a theory on the nature of space, time and matter that I express in this book. In my mind, there is scientific validity to practicing a positive state of consciousness that has implications on what at present remains outside of science - God and eternal life.At least since the age of science, consciousness can be expressed and understood as energy. Energy can exist in subtle forms and very dramatic forms. In my mind, this idea parallels Einstein's theory that matter is another state of energy. Therefore, just as the physical universe can be seen relative to time, the consciousness is also relative to time. I believe that in the far reaches of time, all life by compulsion evolves toward a more positive, balanced, perfect state of being. So the deepest future, eternity is saturated with a higher, more positive state of mind. In addition, if according to theory, time travel is achieved naturally in the space surrounding black holes, it is conceivable that the evolved consciousness naturally demonstrates time travel. So, the deepest future is reflected in the deepest past. God is both our future and our origin. Perhaps, as beings in time, we represent the refinement of countless echoes of time and space. Physical forms created as vessels of high consciousness, a physical universe that is the result of conscious evolution. It is a technology designed to manifest the highest form of being. Therefore, it follows that man can learn to use the technology and evolve consciously. However, we must come to an understanding of which way is up. Perhaps there is a dual nature to consciousness in time, relative to our position in the evolution of consciousness, dual in the sense that there is an outer and an inner evolution in time. The outer being the present, objective, observable. The inner being energy, subtle, subjective and timeless. In this model, the existence of consciousness in time and space might look like an onion. It may be perceived as spherical because there is a common origin at the center, which is the perfection, the deepest of futures and past, God. God is both the origin and the destination in that God surpasses time and space. On the outermost layer, there is a more dense skin of the elements -- this is our physical, most basic evolution. On the outer layer, energy moves slower so to speak, matter forms. Think of the orbit of satellites. The closer they are to the earth, the faster they must move to maintain orbit. The further out they are, the less they are affected by the earth's gravity. As we move toward the center of the onion, moving through time there are many diminishing layers, each surrounded and protected by the outer layers. As layers get deeper, they are as higher evolutionary forms -- sweeter and sweeter, increasingly protected from the elements. They are more energetic. Finally, there is an innermost core, ever-growing and renewing itself. This is the ultimate evolution and the beginning, the giver, and sustainer of all surrounding forms. This is God. Relative to your position in the onion, the evolution of consciousness can be a progressive or regressive fact. If we move our consciousness towards the positive, we move inward toward the sweetness. If we dwell on negative consciousness, we move toward the tough outer skin. This does not mean the skin itself is negative. All matter lies on the outer skin. There simply is less consciousness in the outer layer. Matter is a vessel of consciousness, but consciousness is eternal and therefore increasingly positive and energetic as we move to the relative future. I believe God is real. I see God as the cause of the ever-renewing ever growing positive. This cause manifests itself in all the onion, just as if the seed grows into the tree. The tree is not the seed but the tree comes from the seed. This means God may be experienced in positive states of being. We can bring God into our lives simply by practicing positive states of consciousness. In nature, we see the proof of God. Just as we see this layered effect in plant life, we see it in other life forms, even in planets and stars, Galaxies and I suspect all the cosmos. There are outer layers, tougher and more interactive with the elements surrounding them. Then there are increasingly fundamental, life giving layers towards an essential inner core. We also see this in atoms, in electromagnetic fields and so forth, diminishing towards an evermore-fundamental core. I suspect that all creation is a reflection of the creator in one way or another. By studying nature, we can grow toward the understanding of God. It would be interesting to really pursue this point. Pick something out in nature and ponder what it tells you about the nature of God. In nature, space and time is similarly layered, temporally, spatially and dimensionally. As beings of nature, all thought forms have this basic onion structure. All things are thought forms in one sense. We are ideas of the larger conscious totality. As we progress through the Conscious Meditations, expanding our love into all and sending it out into all, then bringing it back into our selves, we take steps toward the ultimate evolution of consciousness. We become vessels of the sweetness and we become more aware of the sweetness in all things. We help in the very construction of creation. The rewards are a more loving and happy life, joy and hope. |
